("I apologize in advance for the lack of attempted Chinese titles - neither myself nor my instructor being a natural born Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) speakers, I have had to rely upon the kindness of those who would assist (or correct) me over the years, & there have been So many controversies concerning the pronounciation/translation that only the most common terms & phrases are being used here.
Outside of my efforts to master the information specifically taught to me by my instructor, he impressed upon me the importance of learning as many routines & forms as possible for Archival Purposes. Because of the depth of his own personal development, he was able to help me to understand what to look for in terms of Conceptualizations, Methodologies, Structural Integrity, & Philosophical content housed within Good, Traditional Chinese Kung Fu. 20 years ago Traditional Chinese Kung Fu was in Very bad shape - wushu was the most popularly taught versions of what was once a grand & greatly diversified legacy of Chinese Physical Culture. I had spent a large amount of time confering with & in many cases trading routines with other kung fu instructors or those of senior enough rank to be able to relate to me with some authority the routines we were comparing or discussing. Because of the argued 'legitimacy' or 'lineage' of many of those routines, the names are in some cases flamboyant, & in others generic at best.
All of the sets & routines which I have picked up as addendums to the body of kung fu knowledge passed onto me directly by my instructor are still being listed here, although because of the limitations of time & need to focus Sincerely on Traditional Kung Fu training, they have been eliminated from the Core Required Material. If a student shows particular interest in the auxilliary routines & has met previous level requirements, then those sets will be freely shared with them."
