ENROLLMENT AND TUITION PAYMENT POLICIES
AFFORDABILITY AND OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO YOU
Here at Black Mountain Spirit (BMS), pill we are dedicated to providing outstanding quality of service while maintaining prices that can be affordable for everybody. There are NUMEROUS discounts that are available to students who dedicate time and effort (kung fu) to their training. Specifically, enrolling as a Committed Student is much more advantageous to any prospective member of our community instead of a Casual Student and we urge everyone to take Full Advantage of this!
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO BMS
Upon signing an agreement with BMS the student(s) agrees to maintain his/her financial responsibilities to the school. BMS, in accepting an agreement with its students, agrees to maintain the school facilities and equipment, and the high caliber of training that our reputation and past history ascribes to us. When seeking admission at Black Mountain Spirit 1) The student requests of his/her own free will to become a member of our school community. 2) The student is provided with a copy of his/her agreement. 3) The student is able to take as much time as needed to consider his/her situation from the perspective of a) personal interest and motivation, b) finance, c) schedule, and d) schedule availability.
Once a student and BMS enter into an agreement it is binding and all its conditions will be enforced until the date of expiration. When the student requests membership with our school he/she is stating that he/she clearly understands everything that is being presented to them, and agrees to all of the terms and conditions outlined within the agreement. Delinquent accounts will be turned over to a collection agency, may be pursued in small claims court, or both. Please consider each decision you make as part of your relationship with your kung fu school.
ALL TUITION PAYMENTS ARE DUE 5 DAYS BEFORE THE FIRST OF EACH MONTH
Students are required to make their tuition fee and testing fees payments 5 days Before the first of each month, regardless of Student’s absence, major holidays, and/or school holidays. It is to be understood that if tuition is not received 5 days prior to the first of the month the student will be assessed a late charge.
For example, if you intend to train in Ho’o Chin Pai Northern Shaolin Temple Boxing during the month of April, payment must be made before March 26th. Any payments made between March 26th and April 1st will be considered late.
We accept all major credit cards, debit cards and cash payments. Automatic Withdrawal* as part of the Committed Student discount program is the preferred method of receiving payment. Outside of this, Credit and/or Debit Cards are the primary method of payment. Cash is the Second preferred means of payment. Payments made by check are accepted only under extreme circumstances.
If you are making a payment by check, the check must be received by BMS 14 days prior to the date the payment is due. In other words, if you are paying the tuition for the month of February, which is due on February 1, your check must be received by the BMS office no later than January 18).
There is $30 fee for any returned checks.
All banknotes are checked with a counterfeit bill marker upon receipt. Please don’t take offense. This is a regular and mandatory practice for small business owners.

Duke’s Bar and restaurant is located several doors down the street (out the door turn left and cross West), on 8th Avenue on the same side of the street as BMS, across the street from Walgreens. Upon entering, the machine is immediately on the left at the front door.
FirstThird Bank is located across the street (across West, to the left) on 8th Avenue on the left hand side. Upon entering the store, the ATM Machine is immediately behind your right shoulder, on the right side of the cash registers next to the front door.

LATE FEES AND DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS
Since its establishment BMS has been dedicated to providing superior learning and training experience while keeping the tuition fees affordable to everyone interested in and putting forth the time and effort necessary to master the BMS curricula. Please understand and remember that the only way that BMS can continue to provide the same level of extraordinary services and maintain the school facilities while keeping the affordable tuition rates is if all students pay their fees in a timely manner. Because of the very short window that BMS has to pay the school bills, all tuition and testing fees must be paid 5 days before the first of the month. Every student at BMS is responsible for keeping his/her membership dues and other fees up to date and current, in order to maintain class participation. Failure to do so will result in late fee charges and penalties. Late fees are enforced without exception. Late Fees Must be received no later than 5 days after payment is due otherwise the account will be considered delinquent.
IF notification of a late payment is made in advance it is up to the discretion of BMS as to how to proceed.
Any payments that have not been made by date due are deemed late and will be issued a Late Fee. Both the original payment and the late fee must be paid in full no later than 5 days after payment is due in order for the account to remain active and the student be allowed to further participate in school activities. If Both the original payment and the late fee have not been paid in full no later than 5 days after payment is due then the account is considered a Delinquent Account.
The late fee is $25 per style for adults and $15 for children (Northern Shaolin is the only style taught to children under the age of 12, anyone over the age of 12 is enrolled in the adult curriculum). This rate is per student, not per household. As an example, if 3 students (as an example one adult who is studying two styles and two children) are members of a single household and are all of their tuition fees are paid for at the same time after the deadline for payments (that is, late), then 3 separate late fees will be applied appropriate to age and style(s)
TWO EXAMPLES: 3 students, one adult practicing 2 styles and two children, the late fee would be $100 – or 3 students, one adult practicing 1 style and two children, the late fee would be $50) . If 3 students are members of a single household and 2 of their tuition fees are paid prior to the payment deadline (that is, on time) and one tuition fee is paid for separately after the deadline for payments, then 1 individual late fee will be applied appropriate to age of the student.
Tuition fees are NOT refundable. The tuition fee is a monthly fee and not charged on per class basis. There are no refunds or discounts for missed classes, classes that fall on holidays or for any circumstances beyond BMS control. If a class is cancelled due to instructor illness or injury, every effort will be made to schedule a make-up class.
Uniforms, equipment, camps, testing fees, private lessons, etc. are all additional costs and are not included in the regular monthly tuition or registration fees. The student understands that registration fees, tuition, equipment costs, camps, birthday parties, testing fees, private lessons, seminars or other special training fees are non-refundable.
TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP
If a student wishes to terminate his/her membership he/she must provide BMS a sixty day advance written notice on or before the proposed termination month, along with the required Termination Form, signed by the student and the BMS office manager (form is available from, and must be completed through, the BMS office.) Tuition Fees must be paid in full and your account must be in good standing before a Student Termination request will be accepted by BMS and/or a BMS’s Billing Company.
