MARC PHILLIP BLACK
 
For over 35 years DaShiFu Marc Phillip Black has practiced Traditional Chinese Martial Arts (TCMA). He is a full time instructor at the Black Mountain Spirit School of Chinese Kung Fu training facility where he teaches Northern Shaolin Temple Boxing, YangJia TaiJiQuan, BaGuaZhang, Qi Gong, Movement Meditation, and Mindfulness Meditation. During the last two decades he’s also taught Northern Shaolin Temple Boxing and TaiJiQuan as credited courses at the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh PA from 2000-2004, and is the current Instructor of the Northern Shaolin Temple Boxing Club and the Yang Jia TaiJiQuan Club at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh PA. 
 
Most recently, the last 5 years have also allowed him the opportunity to work with at-risk youth as a teaching artist with a number of non-profit organizations. In these positions, he’s responsible for the development and instruction of choreography to students for various stage performances ranging from Chinese Cultural Festivals to program graduation ceremonies. 
 
Both he and his students compete annually at national tournaments always in First Place at each level of participation from beginner to advanced.
 
His very life has been a testament to the dedication he has to each student, to help them achieve their goals as martial arts practitioners, as well as their own individual goals of personal development and growth.
 
 
 
 MIROSLAVA ANGELOVA
 
Ms. Angelova has practiced Northern Shaolin, TaiJi, and BaGua for the last 15 years solely under the instruction of ShiFu Black.
 
As a member of Black Mountain Spirit’s teaching staff her skill and ability have made her a valuable asset and contributor to each of the programs instituted by Black Mountain Spirit in each community, and to each member that it serves.
 
Ms. Angelova’s commitment to the discipline, art, and practice of TCMA is evident in her own expression of this magnificent legacy of art & science. She stands as a GateKeeper, keeping guard over the standards handed down to her through her practice at Black Mountain Spirit. As she continues to grow in skill and rise in rank she acts as a bridge between the ‘masters of the old-school’ and those wishing to benefit from the same life-transforming experiences that TCMA training provides.
 
A First Place Tournament Champion herself, she strives to maintain the integrity of TCMA practice that Black Mountain Spirit has ensured will last into the next century – and Beyond
