There are a variety of natural ways in which a student, through their own dedication & perseverance, are given rewards many times over in the form of both massive discounts and free merchandise. Below are listed some of the more common ways in which this can be achieved.
It’s obvious that each and every thing that you do to add to or enhance your practice of TCMA here at BMS benefits your training, capabilities, and personal development. But I feel that you should be rewarded for putting forth so much extra effort, and the discounts/benefits listed below are designed to do just that.
We strongly urge you to take advantage of these discounts, not only because of the direct monetary rewards, but because of the personal development you’ll undergo and the benefits you’ll receive by meeting these challenges.

That’s a savings of $300, that’s 2 months of classes that you don’t have to pay for! In order to receive this discount a student must

1) commit to a full year of practice of at least 1 complete style of Kung Fu (Northern Shaolin or TaiJiQuan) at The Black Mountain Spirit School of Chinese Kung Fu.

2) provide the ‘first’ & ‘last’ month’s payments at the time of signing.

FREE PRIVATE LESSONS

Below are a list of ways in which a student may win a 1 Hr pvt lesson with DaShiFu. This hour is yours to design to meet any needs you may have or wish to explore. Sparring tactics and techniques, studying applications from the forms and the concepts or methods behind them, extra training drills for specific techniques or skills acquirement, or even something as basic but profoundly important as knowing every single detail about the original 8 Horse Stance Basics and the ways that they can add TONS of information to your forms, sparring, and overall practice.

Each post should have the hashtag #realkungfuperiod attached.

The Very Fine Print

Tuition discounts based on referrals only apply after the referral has passed the three month probationary period.* Exemptions to this rule to allow for a discount to be applied earlier are made on a case by case basis, and will be issued in writing by the office.

Tuition discounts, once applied, only last as long as the referral is enrolled in classes. If a referral withdraws from classes, the tuition discount is withdrawn as well, effective immediately.*

Once a class upgrade has been selected for a gift or discount opportunity, it cannot be applied again.

You are permitted to transfer the benefit of your class upgrade to another school member if you wish, but again, once a class upgrade has been selected (in this case for transfer to another student for them to receive for a gift or discount opportunity) it cannot be applied again.

The office will at all times retain strict, up-to-date records of every class upgrade for each individual student, and each student’s record shall be made available to themselves upon request.

EXEMPTIONS:
Students whose sole method of practice is through private lessons require a minimum of 4 paid privates a month for eligibility. Because of this, the private lessons that are regularly scheduled in advance for the purpose of private lesson study do not count towards the discount programs detailed below; But, any additional private lessons that are scheduled above the regularly scheduled amount will count towards the discounts detailed below.
As an example, BaGuaZhang is currently only taught as private lessons (2 lessons per mo minimum, 4 lessons per mo average),  or semi-private lessons. A student only enrolled as a private lesson student would first have to exceed those 4 private lessons within a 30 day period of time in order to receive the discount benefits of additional classes.
If a student is enrolled in another style of Kung Fu practice here at the school, then any and all discount opportunities are available and are applied. As an example, if a person is enrolled in the full TaiJiQuan curriculum and wanted to add on BaGuaZhang training, which is only taught in private, semi-private formats, the privates scheduled for the practice of BaGuaZhang are 100% applicable towards discounts.
 

* The three month probation period rule exists because unscrupulous actors will attempt to game the system and receive gifts based on referrals that are not genuine in nature. That is, a group of people will be referred to classes in order to receive a gift, and then immediately withdraw from classes. I do not want to be in the business of taking gifts away from students, and many of these gift packages are consumable or have depreciation and thus cannot be returned regardless of negative conduct by bad actors.
